Detailed Project Report (DPR)
for Ridge Interpretation Centre, New Delhi

The Ridge Interpretation Centre (RIC) at Patel Chowk Metro Station, New Delhi, is an innovative initiative developed to enhance public awareness of the ecological, historical, and conservation significance of the Delhi Ridge. The Centre was inaugurated on 30 June 2026 by Shri C. P. Goyal, Chairman, Central Empowered Committee (CEC), Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, in the presence of senior officials from the Delhi Forest Department and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

Urban ecosystems like the Delhi Ridge—part of the fragile Aravalli range—face increasing pressure from urbanization, fragmented awareness, and limited public engagement with ecological systems. Despite its critical role in maintaining Delhi’s environmental balance, the Ridge remains underrepresented in public discourse and lacks a dedicated platform for structured environmental education and outreach.

CSGE served as the technical knowledge partner by preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR), providing technical guidance during planning and execution, designing thematic interpretation sections, and developing scientific content on the Delhi Ridge ecosystem.

Technical Leadership

The project was led by Shri A. M. Singh, CEO of CSGE, who served as the Forestry Expert, providing strategic leadership in interpretation planning, content development, natural resource documentation, biodiversity communication, and conservation messaging.

Outcome

The project reflects CSGE’s expertise in environmental interpretation, conservation planning, and public knowledge dissemination.
